The Challenge
Ashton Gate Stadium set out to launch a new live music festival to take control and ownership of their summer event schedule. The brand needed to stand out quickly, feel credible from day one, and appeal to a broad audience — while staying rooted in Bristol.
The Insight
BS3 is more than a postcode — it’s a symbol of local pride. Anchoring the festival in place would give it authenticity and local relevance.
The Solution
Fever Pitch developed Ashton Gate Presents: BS3 as a place-led, vibrant, festival inspired event.
The naming strategy put BS3 front and centre, while the “Ashton Gate Presents” endorsement added trust and authority.
A bold, flexible visual identity was created to work across digital, outdoor, merchandise, and live environments. Colours did the work to showcase a full day summer event starting in the sunny afternoon, long into the starry night. Confident typography, dynamic gradients and energetic graphic elements captured the atmosphere of live music and large-scale celebration.
The Result
BS3 Festival launched successfully as a new fixture in Bristol’s cultural calendar, attracting major artists and strong audiences in its inaugural year. Alongside the brand development and execution, Fever Pitch used videography, animation and photography to tease, announce and capture the action on the day, following the festival from stage build through to close.
